San Diego Flight Simulators Inc. -- Opens
Provides the first AST 300 simulator in San Diego County
Feb 1990
First two aircraft arrive
November 1991
San Diego Flight Training International Inc -- Created
May 1992
San Diego Flight Simulators is bought by San Diego Flight Training
All assets come under one company
October 1993
Fleet grows to ten aircraft
June 1996
Second (2nd) AST 300 is added to the program
December 1998
SDFTI is invited to become the Cessna Pilot Center in Metropolitan San Diego.
March 1999
1st new C-172R arrives
September 2001
SDFTI becomes a charter member of the Pilot Career Foundation
December 2001
Fourth (4th) C-172 is added to the fleet
SDFTI fleet reaches a total of 17 aircraft
March 2002
SDFTI get the first AST Hawk Digital and GPS Ground training in Southern California
December 2005
SDFTI adds its First (1st) C-172S (Garmin G-1000 Flightdeck) to its fleet
First glass (digital) flightdeck trainer available in San Diego County
June 2006
SDFTI adds its Fourth C-172S (Garmin G-1000 Flightdeck) to its fleet
July 2006
Add its 1st Fly-It simulator, all digital flight trainer to the fleet
February 2007
San Diego Flight Training International is the focused business in both the San Diego Union Tribune "Trying to Touch the Sky" and San Diego Business Journal as the premier flight training program in San Diego County and So. California.
May 2008
San Diego Flight Training International is the lead sponsor of the Rancho Family YMCA's Annual Golf Tournament. This is the sixth consecutive year SDFTI has sponsored this event for the local community.
January 2009
San Diego Flight Training International becomes the name sponsor of the Rancho Family YMCA Golf Tournament. Over 30,000 dollars was raised for families to come to the YMCA.
September 2011
Our first factory new Cessna Skycatcher 162 scheduled to arrive from the factory.
October 2011
SDFTI reaches its twenty second-year in operation.
